MetaMask – Ethereum Browser Extension
MetaMask is an Ethereum browser extension that enables users to view the blockchain in their browser without leaving their web page. The extension allows the user to perform Ethereum transactions from within the web browser.
How does it all work?
MetaMask adds Ethereum’s Javascript API to any website. The extension can read information stored in the Blockchain when you visit a web page. These include the Ethereum addresses for every wallet, their associated balances, as well as the Ethereum address and balance at the contract address. The number of transactions completed is also included.
Signing up creates a wallet in MetaMask clients. Users can move tokens from one address to another, transfer funds, and withdraw money between wallets.
